The goal of Widows Might Ministry is to bring the widow to the realization that she has been ordained by God to serve and intercede for the ministries of her church and the lost, and to live the victorious life Christ has chosen for her according to Jeremiah 29:11 and Isaiah 54:4,5.

We help the widow by sharing experiences with one another without dwelling on the negative.  We offer at our meetings, bible studies and devotionals, crafts, trips, sweet fellowship and lots of fun.  We support Bricks of Love, a ministry of the Iris B. Vest Widows Ministry Center which raises funds to build homes for widows in Zambia, Africa.

The days of the lonely, sad and desperate widow are over!  We are alive and called to serve the Master, and we do it with a positive attitude in every aspect of our lives: our attitude, our appearance and our spirit.  No, it is not a perfect life, but we try to live ours so that Jesus Christ can be seen in us.  We have learned, above all, it's all about Him, and we are honored to be chosen to live the life which He has chosen for us.

Join us at the Shannon Family Life Center Cafe' which is located on the campus of the Spotsylvania Church of God, the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month beginning at 9:00 a.m.
